There are some facts or special consideration about dry skin to keep in your mind when you care for your specific skin type.


Some facts about dry skin:-

  • Sometime few factors make your skin super dry such as allergy, changes in weather or lifestyle.
  • As we get older, our skin sheds of dead cells at low rate that makes our skin dull and dehydrated.
  • ┬áSkin dryness symptoms include itching, redness, wrinkles, cracks and tight skin.
  • The causes of skin dryness could be from home or work environment. Air conditioner, indoor heater or cold weather blasting takes all moisturizer from your surroundings. It is good to put moisturizer back in the air by using a humidifier at home.

Take care of dry skin:-

  • Dry and sensitive skin people should use cleanser that are alcohol-free, fragrance-free and chemical free.
  • Stick with natural fibers or cotton clothes that provide suitable environment to your skin to breathe.
  • Include omega-3; omega-6 fatty acids enriched food in your diet. Spinach, grains, beans and poultry are good for soft and hydrated skin.
  • Apply vitamin E enriched lotion or cream on your skin.
  • Drink ample amount of water. It helps to keep your skin hydrate. Avoid drinking of excessive amount of water because it will not only flush out toxin from your body but also eliminate essential mineral from your body.
